Ghanaian Ambassador to Angola, H.E. Mavis Esi Kusorgbor, paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria’s Chargé d’Affaires in São Tomé, Amb. Dr. Chris Nwanoro, MFR. The two diplomats discussed deepening bilateral ties, promoting African unity, and inclusive leadership.

Ambassador Dr. Chris Nwanoro received Ms. Negar Arefi, Interim Resident Representative of UNDP to São Tomé and Príncipe, on a condolence visit following the passing of Nigeria’s former President, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR.
Ms. Arefi expressed heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the UN family, recognizing the late President’s legacy in Nigeria and Africa at large.
Amb. Dr. Chris Nwanoro, who is blind and a distinguished member of the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (representing Africa), appreciated the solidarity and reiterated the importance of inclusive governance—a vision the late President helped promote by signing the Disability Act into law in 2019.
